SCCA, NASCAR and many other sanctioning bodies now require certified roll bar padding on any member of the cage that may come in contact with the helmet. They recommend it use on any member where the participant's body may have contact. Roll bar padding is not just roll bar padding. Tests have proven that roll bar padding plays a vital role in decreasing the potential of serious injury in crashes. All drivers should be surrounded with SFI 45.1 Spec Approved Padding. The materials used to manufacture the padding were formulated to absorb impact, which in turn reduces impact energy received by the driver. A unique dimension of the pad is its ability to wrap and twist around the bars in the roll cage without breaking and cracking. Its application eliminates the need for sizing and cutting the padding so as to avoid breakage on turns and bends in the roll bar. Each piece covers 180 degrees of the bar and is attached using molded in acrylic adhesive.
- SFI 45.1 Spec Approved - 36" length, 3/4" thick per stick. Available in Black only.
- Will not melt, burn, or give off noxious gasses as will standard roll bar padding
- NOTE: This is not the cheap foam pipe padding but high density rollbar padding that is fire retardant. It covers half of the diameter of the rollbar and should be applied anywhere the body may come in contact with the rollbar.
