Started in 1994 as Clark's Porsche Keys just outside Pittsburgh, PA, Apex Performance has evolved into a full line auto racing safety supplier.  In July 2009, we moved from the Pittsburgh area to Murrells Inlet, SC. If you are on vacation in the area, please stop by our show room.  We would love to meet you and talk cars and track stuff.

We aren't just retailers/distributors of the products we carry. We road race and use the products ourselves. This enables us to provide unbiased information based upon hands-on experience.  Customer satisfaction is our #1 priority. Apex Performance has been sponsoring Brian Shirley since 2006.   Brian was destined for an amazing career in the motorcycle ranks and earned numberous championships before a career ending injury in 1999.  He then took to stockcar racing before tackling the late models.  In less than a decade, he has earned a track championship, UMP honors, Northern Allstars Rookie & Champion honors, and several prominent wins on the Summernationals and World of Outlaws tours as well as the $35,000 Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals in 2006.  Brian's Knoxville win earned him a place as one of the youngest winners of a crown jewel over $30,000.

Apex Performance took on a new sponsorship in 2008 with Jim Albert and his #31 Texas Pro Truck.  He won Track Championships at Thunder Hill Speedway in Austin (Kyle) Tx., The Asphault Bullring in Corpus Christi Tx., and Red River Speedway in Witchita Falls Texas. Once again (2nd year in a row), Jim won the State of Texas Pro Truck Championship.

Carolina Motorsports Park was developed by a group of enthusiasts and racers from the south east, led by Joe Hooker and Bob Humphreys, who played leading roles in getting the project built. Land acquisition was completed in July 1998 with construction starting soon thereafter. The full 2.3 mile road course opened in July 1999.

The site is an old World War II fighter-training base located about four miles south of Kershaw and seventeen miles north of Camden on Highway 521 in South Carolina, and is approximately one hour drive south of Charlotte International Airport.

BeaveRun offers over 400 acres of world-class facilities, including two race tracks, with a third (the "South" track) under development, one of the country's top three karting centers and a six-acre vehicle testing and training area.  The brand new 12,000 square- foot BeaveRun Conference Center features prime exhibition areas, two large classrooms, 14 garages and a covered deck in a spectacular hilltop setting overlooking the North Circuit.

• We will not sell products that do not work or provide little or no value. If a $50 product will do as much or more than a $150 product, we will try and sell you the $50 product!
